National advanced technology research and development program subject “863”-----“New Tidal Generating Set”
The Jiangxia tidal power station is a new type tentative station using tidal energy to generate by single reservoir and bidirectional operation. Its installedcapacity is 3200KW. Until now, it is the largest tidal power station in Chinaand is also ranked third all over the world. This success has been written in the bronze-corridor posy of China Centry Platform built in Peking and has been famed by world.
In 2005, the unit 6 of the power station was taken as the subject of the State's High-Tech Development Plan “863 plan”. This subject was lead by the LongYuan Power Group belonged to China GuoDian Group and carried out by Hangzhou JiangHe Mechanical & Electrical Equipment project Co., Ltd, Tsinghua University, East China Investigation and Design Institute – ECIDI and so on. Our company was in charge of the research, design, manufacture and installation of the tidal generating set for this project. The unit successfully combined to the grid and operated at the first time on 12th Sep., 2007.

First prize in NewtidalunitDaYuTechnology Progress Award
It was a kind of new tidal generating unit that recently has largest capacity and most entire function than any others in our country. It has achieved the international advanced technology level and national highest technical level of generating unit. It was the first one that has realized the six operating condition include bidirectional generating, bidirectional pumping and bidirectional draining. This success has obtained the “independent property right” in which has achieved two national invention patentsand three utility model patents. What’s more, this research resultalso obtained the First prize of DaYuTechnology Progress Award which was the highest technology progress award of the Water Resource Ministry in 2010.
